Heritage Carriage from Great-Grandfather Up for Sale in Yekaterinburg

In Yekaterinburg, a carriage made in the 19th century has been put up for sale. The asking price for the rare vehicle is three and a half million rubles (approximately $39,000 at current rates). According to the seller, the transport has retained its original appearance since 1802.

The lot description states: «The carriage is executed in the classic style of that time, with elegant lines and exquisite details. It has a sturdy construction, allowing it to remain in good condition after more than two centuries.»

The owner believes the carriage could become a valuable acquisition for an antique collector or find a place in a museum exhibition. It could also be used in historical reenactments and ceremonial processions.
«The carriage is an inheritance from my great-grandfather. All parts are original, including the glass. I will hand it over to the right hands; the item is sitting idle. The carriage has opening windows, similar to modern window regulators, and a folding top,» the seller explained.
The sale listing was posted on 13 January. During its time online, it has been viewed by about three thousand users. Journalists attempted to contact the carriage«s owner, but he did not answer calls.
