Three flights are delayed in Chelyabinsk due to the snowfall that hit Moscow on January 27 and the subsequent closure of Sheremetyevo airport. According to the online board at the airport, two Aeroflot planes will arrive in the Urals with delays, and one flight will be delayed on departure.

Thus, flight SU 1094 was supposed to arrive in Chelyabinsk from Moscow at 13:55, but is now expected at 14:50. Flight SU 1420 is currently expected with a 10-minute delay at 15:35. Also, with an hour«s delay at 17:20, a plane from Chelyabinsk to Moscow (flight SU 1421) is scheduled to depart.

Earlier, Sheremetyevo warned that it would not accept aircraft until 14:00 Chelyabinsk time due to bad weather.

Airlines are adjusting their flight schedules, the airport added.

On Tuesday, heavy snowfall began in Moscow and the region. Overnight, according to weather forecasters, about 9 millimeters of precipitation fell.
