Grader Falls Through Ice, Yakutia Company Fined

A driver of a grader fell through ice while preparing a crossing in Yakutia, leading to a fine for the company Trud.

Trud LLC was fined for illegal ice crossing in Yakutia. A grader driver who was supposed to prepare the crossing for opening fell through the ice. This was reported on February 4 by 14.RU citing the press service of the Yakut Transport Prosecutor«s Office.

The incident occurred on December 3, 2025, when an employee of Trud LLC was building the ice crossing «Mokhsogollokh — Kachikattsy» in the Khangalassky District. His vehicle, weighing nearly 14 tons, fell through the ice in an unauthorized spot. The crossing was scheduled to open only on December 10. The driver was not injured.

At the initiative of the Yakut Transport Prosecutor«s Office, the company was brought to administrative responsibility and fined 50,000 rubles (approximately $556 at current rates).

Trud LLC was founded in 2011. The general director is Anatoly Minenko, who is also the sole owner of the company. In 2024, revenue amounted to 91.9 million rubles (approximately $1,021,100 at current rates), which is 4.3% higher than in 2023. At the same time, net profit more than tripled — from 2.3 million rubles ($25,600) to 9.6 million rubles ($106,700).
