On the morning of February 3, a 3.5-kilometer traffic jam formed at the exit from the Vtorchermet district in Yekaterinburg. The congestion paralyzed traffic on 8 Marta and Titova streets towards the city center.

According to eyewitnesses, the cause of the collapse was a Gazelle van that stopped at the intersection of 8 Marta and Akademika Shvartsa streets. The vehicle with its hazard lights on has been occupying the middle lane since 8:17, creating an obstacle for other vehicles.
«On Shvartsa — 8 Marta, a Gazelle is standing in the middle lane. The traffic jam is hell all the way to the Vtorchermet terminus,» noted a reader of E1.RU.
The service Yandex.Maps rates the current road situation in Yekaterinburg at seven points. Serious traffic jams are also recorded near the interchange at the Kalina concern and on Mashinostroiteley Street.
