Demand for paid car jump-start services spikes in Volgograd
Amid severe frosts in Volgograd, the number of paid jump-start assistance offers for cars has sharply increased. Car owners are willing to pay from several hundred to several thousand rubles for someone to come and help start their vehicle, often with additional services offered.
On online classifieds platforms, residents from various city districts are actively offering such services to each other. In the Krasnoarmeysky District, the minimum price is 1000 rubles (approx. $11), and they promise to solve the problem in just a minute.
In the Kirovsky District, the service cost starts from 500 rubles (approx. $6). In this case, special jumper cables are used for the jump-start.
«I»ll come quickly and start your car. Roadside assistance: it doesn«t matter if it»s a passenger car or a truck—a professional jump starter can handle any task. The main advantage of jump-starting with cables is you don«t have to rack your brains about how to reposition your car and maneuver a second vehicle. Plus, the risks of damaging the car»s electronics are eliminated,« explains one of the specialists offering the service.
In the Sovetsky District, one can find ads listing a price «from 134 rubles» (approx. $1.50), but the actual price for a jump-start starts from 3000 rubles (approx. $33).
The same offer details: «In my work, I use only high-quality European jump-starting devices that are safe for your cars. The »jump-start« service price in the ad is for a non-commercial passenger car with a gasoline internal combustion engine, depending on distance; outside the city, the price is negotiated individually. If, after connecting the booster, the starter turns (as we have essentially connected an external power source), the service is considered rendered, and accordingly, the call-out is paid at the agreed cost.»
In the Voroshilovsky District, they are ready to start various types of transport: from gasoline and diesel cars to trucks, tractors, and excavators. The price starts from 500 rubles (approx. $6). As in other cases, full payment is required even for an unsuccessful assistance attempt.

In the Dzerzhinsky District, prices drop below 1000 rubles (approx. $11) again. Assistance is available almost around the clock, except for eight hours a day. The ad describes the service as fast and safe, performed with a professional jump-starting device.
In the Krasnooktyabrsky District, a certain Alexander offers to jump-start only gasoline passenger cars with an engine capacity of up to 2.5 liters. Unlike many others, he does not promise round-the-clock availability.
In the Traktorozavodsky District, the service «Jump-starting a car with a booster» implies delivery of the device to the client, and the engine must be started independently. Even if the attempt is unsuccessful, full payment is still required.
