Construction begins on Sennaya Square metro station
Construction is ongoing simultaneously above and below ground level.
Construction of the metro station complex has begun on Sennaya Square in Nizhny Novgorod. Builders started this phase after the «Vladimir» shield completed tunneling. The progress was reported in the Telegram channel «MetroNN».
After receiving the state expert conclusion on the station complexes, work began on the site both on the surface and underground. Workers will pour monolithic structures to strengthen the frame of the future station.
Construction of the first trough section has also started, which will become part of the station complex. Builders will install 78 tons of metal rebar and pour 310 cubic meters of concrete.
As for the above-ground construction, binding beams are already being installed to create a solid foundation for the station. This will require the installation of 33 tons of metal rebar frame and over 600 cubic meters of concrete.
It should be added that the contract for building new metro stations in the Nagornaya part of Nizhny Novgorod has been extended until December 2027. Initially, completion was planned for the end of 2025.
