On the night of January 27–28, 132 dump trucks of snow were removed from the streets of Ulyanovsk, according to the city administration. Road workers were active on streets such as Karl Marx, Lenin, Krasnoarmeyskaya, Gagarin, Koltsevaya, Vareikisa, Khrustalnaya, and on prospects like Narimanov, Leninsky Komsomol, Aviastroitely, General Tyulenev, and Ulyanovsk. To combat ice, 81 tons of sand-salt mixture and four tons of solid reagent were used.

As residents note on social media, many intra-block roads remain the most problematic. Due to parked cars, snow removal equipment cannot operate there. For instance, on the approach to secondary school No. 9, thawed snow has compacted, forming slippery mounds. It is difficult to access the educational institution.

Recall that after abnormal cold, Ulyanovsk is being covered by a cyclone that will bring warming and precipitation. City head Alexander Boldakin ordered to intensify work on clearing roads of snow.
