Trans-Baikal tops Far East in shift work pay

Zabaykalsky Krai has become the leader in the Far East for the number of residents willing to work on a rotational basis. As reported to Chita.Ru by the press service of hh.ru, in the first half of 2026, 19% of all resumes in the Far Eastern Federal District indicating readiness for rotational work came from candidates in Zabaykalsky. They are followed by Khabarovsk Krai (17%) and Buryatia (15%).

Interest in rotational work continues to grow. In Zabaykalsky Krai, the number of such resumes increased by 63% compared to the same period last year.

At the same time, Zabaykalsky is among the regions with the highest rotational salaries. On average, employers offer 197,200 rubles per month ($2,200 at current rates) — the highest figure among regions of the Far Eastern Federal District. For comparison, in Amur Oblast the average offer is 193,100 rubles ($2,100), in Yakutia — 192,900 rubles ($2,100).

Meanwhile, candidates from Zabaykalsky themselves expect an average of 148,400 rubles ($1,600). By expected salary level, the region ranks third in the Far Eastern Federal District, behind only Chukotka (170,000 rubles, $1,900) and Magadan Oblast (151,700 rubles, $1,700).

Most often, rotational work is considered by representatives of blue-collar professions, as well as specialists in construction, manufacturing, transportation, and resource extraction. Among the most sought-after vacancies are drivers, machinists, welders, electricians, installers, general laborers, and site supervisors.

According to hh.ru, a quarter of new resumes indicating readiness for rotational work belong to young people aged 19 to 30. For most candidates, this format is not new: 69% of applicants have more than a year of experience in rotational work.
