Young driver burned alive in own car in Kuzbass

The body of a young man was found in a burned car in a parking lot in a Kuzbass settlement. It was only after the fire was extinguished that it became known about the driver who was in the blazing cabin, confirmed on Wednesday, January 28, by the press service of the Kuzbass Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS) to the NGS42.RU editorial office.

The fire in front of a residential building in Verkh-Chebula was reported to rescuers at 06:20. By the time the first unit arrived, the fire had completely engulfed the passenger car, including the engine compartment and the cabin.

Four firefighters and one piece of equipment fought the flames. When the fire was extinguished, on the front seat, employees found a burned body, presumably of a man.

Specialists are still investigating the cause of the fire and the death of the resident. The fire destroyed the entire car, even the front wheels.

The regional investigative committee told the NGS42.RU editorial office that employees are conducting an inspection into causing death by negligence.

A resident of the house near which the tragedy occurred published footage of the fire. In the video, it can be seen that when rescuers arrive, the car is blazing heavily. It is impossible to distinguish that someone is in the cabin.

Meanwhile, neighbors who witnessed the fire were looking for the car owner and knocked on his apartment door. No one opened, which is why the video author assumes that the owner himself burned — a 23-year-old guy. Witnesses suggested that he might have been warming up the car in the morning and dozed off in it.
