A break in the heating network of the Aginskoye Production Complex (APK) boiler plant occurred in Aginskoye, according to a report in the «News of the Aginskoye Urban District» Telegram channel on February 3.

Heating supply has been cut off to four apartment buildings (1, 3, 7, and 9 Kalinin Street) and 17 socially significant facilities.

It is reported that the location of the break has been identified, and the section of the heating main with the leak has been isolated — it occurred near the building of the Aginsk District Boarding Gymnasium.

The boiler plant system is being powered up, and the boilers are being started. During the emergency repair work, the academic building of the Aginsk District Boarding Gymnasium will remain without heat. The work is being carried out by an emergency repair crew. The scheduled time for the fault to be fixed is 3:00 p.m.

A comment from acting head of Aginskoye, Bayar Minzhurov, could not be obtained.

Update: As of 1:30 p.m., the accident on the APK boiler plant«s heating networks has been eliminated. Heating supply has been restored to all consumers except the academic building of the Aginsk District Boarding Gymnasium.

The 2025/2026 winter heating season in Zabaikalsky Krai has been difficult, with frequent breaks in heating mains. The first break in the central heating main was in Atamanovka on the afternoon of December 30. It could not be fixed quickly, and as a result, residents of the settlement met the New Year in cold apartments. On January 1, the boiler plant was started at full capacity, but then a new break in the heating main occurred in the settlement — on Tselinnaya Street, which was soon eliminated. Due to the situation in Atamanovka, investigators also initiated a criminal case on negligence, as about 3,000 people were left without heat.

A second heating main break occurred in Darasun on January 21. Because of it, the Investigative Committee also initiated a criminal case on negligence.

In addition, a water main burst in Dauria on January 19, leaving some houses without water.

This is the third heating main break in Zabaikalsky Krai in the last month, which this time occurred in the settlement of Yasnaya in the Olovyanninsky District.

Also, several consecutive breaks occurred in Darasun.

Aginskoye has already had problems this heating season. On October 24, it became known that streets in the settlement of Aginskoye had been dug up and pipes exposed. Heating was out in the buildings of the Aginsky District administration, prosecutor«s office, district court, editorial office of the »Aginskaya Pravda« newspaper, veterinary clinic, treasury, social fund, registry office, House of Culture, and library. That same evening, the head of the Aginsky Buryat District, Bazar Dugarzhapov, was relieved of his duties at his own initiative. He had held the post of vice-premier since October 2023. Sources of »Chita.Ru« reported that he did not leave on his own but was dismissed. The next day, the head of the Aginskoye settlement, Andrey Dashin, submitted his resignation. Heat and water supply were restored to all buildings and apartments in the center of Aginskoye on November 15.
