Robert Solovyov managed the city polyclinic in Kamensk-Uralsky in 2022. According to the investigation, in August of that year, his son Alexander received 1 million rubles (approximately $10,000 at current rates) from the director of the commercial firm «MedicalTek». This company specialized in the supply of medical equipment. For this money, Solovyov Jr. promised that the firm would win the tender to purchase an X-ray machine for the hospital where his father works. The supply was ultimately carried out through an electronic auction.

According to the service «Kontur.Fokus», the firm «MedicalTek» was established in 2016. It is registered in Berezovsky. The main type of activity is the production of medical instruments and equipment. The general director of the firm is businessman Nikita Dmitrievich Ponomarev. He also manages another structure — LLC «Service of Technological Systems».

In 2024, the net profit of «MedicalTek» amounted to 23 million rubles (approximately $230,000 at current rates). The firm is an active participant in state procurement. Previously, it has concluded 89 state contracts for the supply of medical products totaling 779 million rubles (approximately $7.8 million at current rates).

Moreover, according to a source from E1.RU, the X-ray medical equipment was not registered in the Russian Federation and could not have been purchased by the hospital. To whom exactly Solovyov Jr. transferred the money is not specified. It is only known that it is an unidentified official who worked at the hospital in Kamensk-Uralsky.

Alexander Solovyov was arrested and placed in a pre-trial detention center (SIZO). His father is not currently involved in the case (which was initiated under Article 291.1 «Mediation in Bribery»). The Investigative Committee stated that they do not comment on this information at the moment. We have also requested a comment from the Ministry of Health. We will publish the response if it is received.
