Yaroslavl Man Arrested for Epiphany Disturbance. Video

The disturbance during the Epiphany celebrations in Yaroslavl resulted in the man being taken into custody.
In Yaroslavl, a 33-year-old troublemaker who caused a disturbance at the font during Epiphany in Petropavlovsky Park has been sent under arrest. The court imposed this punishment for violating Part 1 of Article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, «Petty Hooliganism.»
Video footage from the scene shows the man being detained by authorities.
«He offensively harassed citizens, used rough obscene language, did not respond to remarks from citizens and police officers, thereby disturbing public order and showing clear disrespect for society,» commented the Krasnoperekopsky District Court.
That evening, our correspondents were working at the font in Petropavlovsky Park. As they reported from the scene, the man tried to slip into the font, bypassing the queue.
He quickly bared his torso and attempted to slip towards the water, but he was not allowed by the EMERCOM employees. Then he ran aside and began washing himself with snow. All his actions were accompanied by shouting and swearing.
«I»ll get dressed now. Don«t touch me,» shouted the 33-year-old Yaroslavl resident. «We»re bathing, we«re bathing. What harm have I done to you?»
The court«s ruling has not entered into legal force.
