A Yakutia Airlines plane, operating flight 466 from Moscow to Yakutsk via Novosibirsk, made an emergency landing in Krasnoyarsk on January 23. This was reported by the Telegram channel «Echo of the Capital.» The information was confirmed to 14.RU by the airline«s press service.

The flight was on the route Moscow — Novosibirsk — Yakutsk. Approximately an hour after takeoff from Novosibirsk, the crew noticed a drop in cabin pressure and reported a technical malfunction. The captain decided to divert to an alternate airport in Krasnoyarsk. At night, at 01:30 local time, the aircraft landed. An official investigation and search for the fault is currently underway.

Meanwhile, a passenger named Natalia, who was on this flight, told the Telegram channel Sakhaday that «during the flight, the plane suddenly lost control and descended, oxygen masks immediately dropped and there was a smell of burning,» but the flight attendants said not to touch the masks and distributed water. According to her, the plane circled over Krasnoyarsk for 1.5 hours, children were crying, and people were panicking. Currently, everyone is at the airport, but the airline allegedly has not contacted them and has not provided hotel rooms for the night.

However, the airline«s press service told 14.RU that a reserve plane will be sent from Moscow for the passengers, with the departure time from Krasnoyarsk to Yakutsk scheduled for 13:40 local time. Official information on the causes of the emergency landing will be available a bit later.
