Woman Killed, Teen Injured in M-5 Nissan-Truck Crash

A serious road traffic accident occurred at 5 a.m. on Wednesday, February 4, on the M-5 federal highway in the Ashinsky district of the Chelyabinsk region. A Nissan Wingroad, in snowy conditions, drove into the oncoming lane and collided head-on with a Sitrak truck.
Emergency crews arrived at the crash site on the M-5 highway in the Ashinsky district.
«As a result of the accident, a passenger of the Nissan Wingroad, a 45-year-old woman, died at the scene from her injuries,» reported the Chelyabinsk region traffic police. «The driver of the car and a minor passenger, a 13-year-old teenager, were taken to a medical facility with various injuries.»
According to law enforcement, the Nissan was driven by a 47-year-old man. The truck was driven by a 44-year-old driver.
