The Main Directorate of the Emergency Ministry (EMERCOM) for the region reported that a call to 112 was received at 2:38 p.m. The fire broke out in a two-room apartment, and the flames damaged a suspended ceiling, a wall, and furniture. According to photos taken at the scene by firefighters, the damage is serious. Thirteen rescuers fought the fire, and four units of equipment were deployed to the emergency site. They extinguished everything quickly—within just nine minutes. However, medical assistance was required for an 80-year-old woman—she was taken to the hospital.

EMERCOM reminds that during abnormal frosts, the risk of fires increases. Residents are asked not to use gas for heating and to observe safety measures when using electrical appliances. For example, never cover heaters with anything and do not leave them on overnight.
