A fire broke out in a utility room on Gertsena Street in Biysk, where a woman was injured, according to the regional Emergencies Ministry.
Fifteen firefighters and four pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. Due to heavy smoke inside the room, two units of the gas and smoke protection service were deployed.
As a result of the fire, a woman was injured and hospitalized. The fire was extinguished over an area of about 50 square meters. Walls, ceiling structures, the roof, and personal belongings were damaged.
According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire was careless smoking.
