Widow of murdered Altai Krai district head seeks compensation from administration

The widow of the murdered head of Zavyalovsky District in Altai Krai, Nikolai Onishchenko, has filed a lawsuit against the district administration demanding payment of 10 million rubles (approximately $100,000 at current rates) in compensation for moral damages, according to the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug — Yugra.
The woman filed the lawsuit on behalf of the murdered man«s minor daughter. As detailed in the case materials, in her view, her husband»s death occurred while he was performing his official duties, when he was at his workplace and heading to the territory of one of the internal facilities of the municipal entity, where he was killed.
The widow considers the incident an industrial accident and is asking to recover compensation from the administration of Zavyalovsky District in the amount of 10 million rubles (approximately $100,000 at current rates).
Recall that 51-year-old head of Zavyalovsky District, Nikolai Onishchenko, was killed on March 4, 2025.
