“Where is security?”: Mass brawl of teenagers at Gostiny Dvor

Visitors at Gostiny Dvor witnessed an unpleasant scene — a mass brawl among teenagers. Eyewitnesses reported this on social media.

A video of a fight in the elevator of the Gostiny Dvor shopping mall spread widely on social media, showing about a dozen teenagers, including a girl. However, there is also footage showing that the conflict started on the food court.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident, but no official complaints had been filed earlier.

Gostiny Dvor in the center of Tula is a place that attracts youth of this kind. Situations where various conflicts occur are not uncommon, and rude teenagers of a marginal type periodically just occupy the food court of the shopping center. At such times, it is simply unrealistic for families with children to visit the building — obscene language can be heard even on the first floors.

“You can«t even get into the cafe, it»s full of punks. Where is security, where are the juvenile affairs inspections?,” complains Angelica.

“And this happens at Gostiny Dvor. Security is apparently just for show,” writes one Tula resident.

“And the same ones are filming and standing there! Where is security at Gostiny Dvor? It«s impossible to be on the food court, on the floors, on the benches there are teenagers smoking e-cigarettes without any shame. At the entrance they stand in crowds, swearing with choice words. They gather in the parking lot. It»s like a den, not a shopping center,” said Elena.
