Water Cut Off in Krasnoyarsk Village, Deliveries Called Mockery

Residents of Maksakovka village in Nizhneingashsky District have been left without any water in the freezing cold. Authorities organized water deliveries, but the water in buckets is unfit for use and consumption. A reader told NGS24.RU about this.

“For several days now, our village has been completely deprived of water supply. The tower froze over, since it«s winter, January, frost. At such a time — such an »unexpected« thing for everyone, they didn»t insulate the tower, left it as is — bare iron, apparently thought it would hold up anyway,” reports a subscriber of our Telegram channel.

Maksakovka village is part of the Ilansko-Nizhneingashsky Municipal District. It is located approximately four kilometers from the town of Nizhny Ingash. According to data from the service 2GIS, Maksakovka has one kindergarten, a dairy plant, and a health post. According to the 2010 census, 170 people lived in the village.

According to a resident, the water cutoff for such a long time is “a catastrophe that violates all basic norms of human life.” Authorities, to fix the situation, organized water deliveries, but the liquid in buckets is clearly unsuitable for consumption and use.

“What was delivered cannot be called anything but mockery! Instead of clean, drinking water, they brought absolutely unsuitable liquid — rusty, dirty, with a terrible smell … This is a direct violation of all conceivable sanitary norms, consumer rights, and basic human conditions! Where are the quality standards? Where is the care for people?” says a resident of Maksakovka.

Particularly hard, the resident says, this situation has hit pensioners, of whom there are many in Maksakovka.

“For elderly people, it«s already difficult to cope with household tasks, and in conditions of complete absence of clean water, their life turns into survival. How do they do laundry? How do they maintain hygiene? How do they cook food?” adds the resident.

At the administration of the Ilansko-Nizhneingashsky Municipal District, no one answered the call from NGS24.RU correspondent. We will request a comment again with the start of the work week. And we will publish the response as soon as we receive it.
