Voronezh Region UAV Attack Ignites Petroleum Products

The threat of UAV attacks in Voronezh Region was announced on January 27 at 22:31, lasting for less than an hour and a half before being canceled at 23:55. During this period, a direct strike threatened Voronezh, Ostrogozhsk District, and Novovoronezh, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces« main target is the nuclear power plant. Sirens were activated in these three municipalities for 12 minutes, from 22:38 in Ostrogozhsk to 22:50 in Voronezh, with the threat lifted along with the general danger for the entire region.
On the morning of January 28, the Ministry of Defense reported that two Ukrainian aircraft-type UAVs were destroyed over Voronezh Region overnight. According to Governor Alexander Gusev, the drones were detected and suppressed by air defense and electronic warfare systems over one of the region«s districts. There were no casualties, but falling drone debris caused petroleum products to catch fire. By 07:26, the fire had been extinguished. Gusev thanked all staff of the regional Emergency Situations Ministry and firefighters, praising their selfless and effective efforts.
