Voronezh Region Named One of the Most Attacked Regions
Attacks on Russian regions have resulted in 56 fatalities since the start of the year.
Since the beginning of 2026, more than 220 people have been affected by Ukrainian Armed Forces attacks, 56 of them killed, including three children. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Russian Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova.
«The oblasts most frequently subjected to continuous missile attacks on the civilian population, as well as mass UAV and FPV drone raids, are Kherson, Voronezh, Bryansk, and Kursk,» stated the ombudsman.
According to her, 227 people have been affected by attacks since the beginning of the year, 56 of them killed.
Voronezh literally at the beginning of the year suffered the largest drone attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. For several hours, explosions were heard over the city. That evening, 17 unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down over the region. Four people were injured, one woman died in the hospital.
