Voronezh man dies in cafe before ambulance arrives

A man died in a Voronezh shopping center on Saturday afternoon, January 24. The emergency occurred at the «Arena» in one of the cafes on the first floor. «He came for a job interview, but he felt unwell. He started suffocating and died before the ambulance arrived,» a reader named Ekaterina told Voronezh1.ru.

Witnesses reported on social networks that the man died right at the table where he sat down to drink coffee. Police arrived at the scene, documented everything, and took the body away. In the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) for Voronezh Region, they confirmed that the death was sudden—medical professionals established it as a fact. They also reported the tragedy to the police. The deceased is a resident of Voronezh born in 1971. Soon, the MVD will appoint a forensic examination to determine the cause of death.

Meanwhile, this is not the only emergency that occurred at the «Arena» on January 24. Around 14:00, visitors were evacuated from the shopping center—the fire alarm went off. However, the regional head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS) reassured that the alarm was false and there was no fire.
