On the morning of 4 February, Volgograd and the Volgograd Region were attacked by Ukrainian drones.

«This morning, air defense units of the Russian Defense Ministry repelled a terrorist attack by unmanned aerial vehicles on industrial infrastructure facilities in southern Volgograd,» the statement published on the Telegram channel of the Volgograd Region administration said. «At the moment, there are no casualties or damage to industrial or civilian facilities. Personnel from emergency services and the municipality are conducting operations to search for and eliminate possible drone debris.»

As a reminder, a drone alert was declared in the region overnight and was re-announced in the early morning of 4 February. Volgograd Airport remains closed at the time of publication.

The Volgograd Region last came under a massive drone attack on 10 January. At that time, an oil depot caught fire in the Oktyabrsky District, and the situation was also commented on by Governor Andrey Bocharov.
