Volgograd car crash injures woman near regional office
The female passenger in the Hyundai sedan was injured and required medical attention after the collision between the two vehicles.
One person was injured in a collision between a Mitsubishi crossover and a Hyundai Solaris sedan. The accident occurred at the intersection of Lenin Avenue and Lenin Street in the Central District of Volgograd, just a few meters from the entrance to the Volgograd Regional Administration.
«According to preliminary information, at 12:30 opposite building 7 on Lenin Avenue, the driver of a Hyundai Solaris failed to maintain a safe distance and collided with a Mitsubishi Outlander moving ahead. As a result of the accident, a female passenger in the Hyundai was taken to a medical facility.
The accident, according to a photo taken by traffic police officers at the scene, occurred on a pedestrian crossing over Lenin Avenue. The crossover shows no significant damage, while the Hyundai has its entire front end smashed. V1.RU is clarifying information about the condition of the woman injured in the accident with the regional health committee.
Later, the department clarified that the injured woman was taken to Hospital No. 25, but after undergoing a medical examination, she refused hospitalization.
Recall that in the autumn of 2024, at the same location, a collision occurred between a Hyundai Sonata and an electric bicycle carrying two food delivery riders. The moment of the accident was captured by surveillance cameras.
