At SIZO-1 in Vladivostok, problems have again arisen with the acceptance and issuance of food parcels. The reason for the investigation was a complaint from a relative of one of the detainees at the Vladivostok Central Detention Facility, who claimed a significant delay in the delivery and spoilage of products.
The detainee«s handwritten message about the spoiled package was posted on Telegram.

According to a handwritten message sent by the detainee to his wife, of the 30 items of food handed over to the facility, some were unfit for consumption.
According to him, the sausage and grilled chicken «did not survive», as well as fruits and vegetables — tomatoes, tangerines, and apples. The products, the man claims, were passed «in mold» and cut into pieces, after which he had to refuse them.
«They brought the package, I gave it back to them. Sausage, grilled chicken, tomato, apple, and tangerine — they cut everything. I gave it back, it was already starting to mold there. Consult with the lawyer», — the detainee wrote.
The man«s wife sought publicity through the Telegram channel «Maxim Chikhunov. Politician and Human Rights Activist», asking for help in understanding the situation.
«The situation is this: on 31 January 2026, I handed over a package to my husband at SIZO-1 in the live queue, today a letter came from him — he only received it today, and even then half of the products were spoiled, he refused them», — the woman wrote.
In the comments on her appeal, some residents of Primorye scolded the author, pointing out the inadmissibility of sending perishable products. Others suggested that the products could have been cut during inspection — to check for prohibited items.
At the same time, a number of users stated that they personally had experienced similar delays in the transfer of parcels at the Vladivostok SIZO, linking the problem to a lack of staff at the facility.
The editorial office of VLADIVOSTOK1.RU sent a request to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for Primorsky Krai (GUFSIN). The department confirmed that they are aware of what happened. An internal investigation has been ordered into the incident.
Earlier, we reported that information was circulating online about an allegedly dying female inmate at the colony in the village of Gornoye. The GUFSIN of Primorye refuted the rumors about IK-10.
