Video Shows Pedestrian Stepping Under Truck in Yekaterinburg

In Uralmash, a truck hit a pedestrian. The incident occurred on Mashinostroiteley Street around 13:00 and was captured by a street camera.

The footage shows that the truck tried to run the red light at the last moment. People standing at the pedestrian crossing noticed the danger and did not step onto the road. All except one man. For some reason, he did not look to the left and stepped directly under the truck. There is a version that he was distracted by a mobile phone.

The truck driver tried to swerve and hit the brakes at the last moment. But it was too late: the pedestrian received a strong blow and was thrown onto the road. Nothing is known yet about this person«s condition. The city traffic police reported the following:

«Traffic police officers are working at the scene of the incident, clarifying the circumstances of the traffic accident.»
