Urals Passengers Stranded in Yekaterinburg for Day by Flight Delay
The departure of the aircraft from Koltsovo Airport has been delayed for almost a full day. The departure schedule for the Air Arabia flight has been adjusted several times.
One of the passengers, Elena, reported that the flight was originally scheduled for 01:50 on 22 January but never took off. People had to spend a long time in the airport terminal.
«We»ve been here for a day; twice we«ve gone through the entire process from check-in, baggage drop, security screening, and customs, there and back. After a many-hour delay, they finally boarded us on the plane, we sat on the plane for three hours, and then they asked us to disembark again,» the woman said.
After disembarking, passengers were placed in hotels.
«Now we are in a hotel, in warmth, but our vacation is very much in question. They keep postponing the time,» Elena noted.
According to her, the reason for the flight disruption was a fuel sensor malfunction on the aircraft. According to the latest information, a new departure is scheduled for 05:00 on 23 January.
Separately, it is worth noting that since 20 January, a stamp of Russian citizenship in a child«s birth certificate is required for crossing the border. This requirement applies not only to air travel but also to train travel if the child is traveling on a discounted ticket.
