Ufa man who threw daughter from window declared insane

The Investigative Committee has completed its investigation into the case of a Ufa resident who threw his three-year-old daughter from a fourth-floor window. Experts have declared the man insane and recommended sending him for compulsory treatment.

The girl initially fell into a coma and was sent for treatment to a Moscow clinic; her condition has since returned to normal and she was able to celebrate the New Year back in Ufa.
«The man suffers from a chronic mental disorder and, both at the time of the act and now, cannot comprehend the actual nature and public danger of his actions, nor control them,» the Investigative Committee relayed the experts« findings.
The criminal case has been sent to court, which will make the decision on compulsory treatment.
