UAV Attack in Novaya Adygea Leaves Over 800 Affected

In the village of Novaya Adygea, recovery work continues after the drone attack. As reported by the head of Takhtamukay District, Savv Asker, following the evening meeting of the operational headquarters on January 22, over 800 claims have been received from residents affected by the incident in two days. About 70% of them have already been processed. No information has been provided yet on compensation payments.

From morning till evening, 10 municipal commissions worked in the village. Together with residents and representatives of management companies, they documented damage in apartments and houses. Some premises have not yet been inspected due to the absence of owners — they are asked to return for inspections.

According to Savv Asker, contracting organizations have already begun dismantling and installing window units. The most damaged apartment building has been fully inspected. Apartment owners, accompanied by police and the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS), were able to retrieve essential items, and repair work will begin there soon.

In the courtyards, clearing of debris and construction waste continues. Authorities have deployed equipment, materials, volunteers, and construction teams. Commission inspections of houses are planned to continue until all apartments are fully examined.

Recall that on the night of January 21, Kuban and Adygea were attacked by UAVs, near Krasnodar in the village of Novaya Adygea explosions occurred. Authorities reported a «UAV strike.» Apartment buildings were damaged, at least 15 cars burned, and windows were blown out in dozens of buildings and vehicles.

In Takhtamukay District, a state of emergency was declared. 13 people were injured, 9 of them hospitalized, including two children among the wounded. Officially, the number of fatalities has not been established, during the clearing of ruins a fragment of a human body was found.
