Senior Sergeant Iskandar Alshin, a native of Nizhnetavdinsky District, died on September 29, 2024. He served as a senior rifleman in a rifle battalion. A farewell ceremony for the serviceman was held at the end of January 2026.
Iskandar Alshin was born on February 2, 1976 in the village of Baikal. He studied at Kinder School and then at Vocational School No. 50 in Nizhnyaya Tavda. He completed his compulsory military service in 1994, after which he participated in anti-terrorist operations in the Caucasus in 1994-1995 and 1999-2000, serving as a mechanic-driver of BMP infantry fighting vehicles and tanks. During that period, he was wounded. Alshin signed a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense in July 2023.
In the village of Achiry, Tobolsky District, memorial plaques were unveiled in memory of two local residents — Danira Yanaleyev and Sultan Nagipov, who also died during the special military operation. The administration of Tobolsky District reported this on January 28.
On January 30, a solemn ceremony for the presentation of state awards and certificates to the families of the deceased was held in Vikulovsky District. Posthumously awarded were:
- Mikhail Kalinin — the Order of Courage;

On January 31, the administration of Yalutorovsk reported the death of Andrei Gontarev in the special operation. «Andrei was a native Yalutorovsk resident, born on July 11, 1980. After graduating from School No. 4, he chose a solid, working-class profession, receiving a mechanic»s specialty at the Agricultural College. But fate had a different calling in store for him. After completing compulsory service in the Armed Forces, Andrei Nikolaevich remained true to the cause of defending the country. He served in military intelligence — the elite of the army. There, in the crucible of the Chechen campaign, his character was tempered and true courage manifested,« the obituary states.
For many years, Andrei Gontarev served in the internal affairs agencies — in the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate (GAI) and the criminal investigation department. He rose to the rank of police captain. His farewell is scheduled for February 2.
