According to the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD), Irina Volk, as part of the investigation into fraud against a 14-year-old schoolboy, police identified and detained a courier. He turned out to be a 22-year-old young man from Tyumen.

«As a result of operational-search measures to establish persons involved in committing fraud against a 14-year-old schoolboy, police tracked down the courier. He turned out to be a 22-year-old resident of the city of Tyumen,» Volk stated.
Investigative authorities report that the suspect received a job offer via messenger. First, he completed two orders in his city, receiving 15,000 rubles (approximately $150) for each. After that, he flew to Krasnoyarsk, where he collected the money. The detention took place in Blagoveshchensk.
The report of the detention initially appeared on the official website of MVD Media, but was later deleted.
Recall that the incident, which garnered widespread attention, occurred on January 22. In Krasnoyarsk, the disappearance of 14-year-old Nikolai Kapli, the son of a local businessman, was announced. The public was shown video of the teenager leaving an elite residential area accompanied by a girl.
Later it emerged that three million rubles (about $30,000) had disappeared from the teenager«s father»s safe. The teenager and the girl were found on January 24. The authorities then used the formulation «allegedly abducted». According to the investigation, the girl had specifically traveled to Krasnoyarsk from Surgut.
