Tyumen courier detained in alleged teen abduction fraud
A young man, allegedly acting as a courier for fraudsters, was detained in Blagoveshchensk on February 1. He is suspected of involvement in an incident in Krasnoyarsk involving the allegedly kidnapped son of a businessman and a large sum of money.

The Investigative Committee«s directorate for Krasnoyarsk Krai and Khakassia reported the detention of a suspect, a resident of Tyumen. According to the investigation, he acted in collusion with fraudsters as a courier.
As reported by the department, on January 21, the young man flew from Surgut to Krasnoyarsk. His task was to retrieve money received by another person involved in the case from the teenager. On the evening of January 22, near one of the restaurants, he took a backpack from a girl and left it in a prearranged location. Later, on the night of January 24, the suspect left the city by taxi, awaiting further instructions from the organizers.
The detention occurred in Blagoveshchensk on February 1.
This case is linked to an incident in Krasnoyarsk where initial reports suggested the possible abduction of a local entrepreneur«s son. The teenager and a girl were later found in a rented apartment. Simultaneously, it was discovered that three million rubles (approximately $30,000 at current rates) were missing.
According to investigators, the girl also flew to Krasnoyarsk from Surgut. A criminal case on fraud has been initiated against the detained Tyumen resident. Previously, details of the incident were disclosed by the police.
