A major traffic accident occurred today in the Slyudyansky District. As a result of a collision between a minibus and two trucks, 11 people were injured. This was reported by the governor on his channel in MAX.

The accident happened on the 123rd kilometer of the federal highway R-258 «Baikal». The minibus with passengers was traveling from Irkutsk to Ulan-Ude.

According to preliminary information after examination by medics at Slyudyansky District Hospital, five people have been hospitalized, one of them in serious condition. Three more have been directed to outpatient treatment. Medics are still working with the others.

Police are working at the scene.
