Two Trams Derail in Tula on January 27 Evening

Two separate tram derailments were reported in Tula over the course of two hours.
In Tula, on the evening of January 27, two trams on different streets derailed. Eyewitnesses reported this on social media.
One of the trams derailed at a turn near the Rio shopping center around 8:40 p.m. There was no serious collision with other vehicles.
A similar incident occurred an hour later at Krasny Perekop (Kaulya Street). The tram also ended up blocking the road, impeding traffic for other vehicles.
According to information from the company Tulagorelectrotrans, in the case at the Rio shopping center, the driver was at fault — the switch point shifted under him, causing the vehicle to go off track. A similar explanation was given for the incident at Krasny Perekop.
Currently, the trams were reversed and they continued on their routes. According to official information, the vehicles sustained no damage.
