Footage has emerged of the detention of two teenagers in Barnaul, who are accused of setting fire to cellular towers. The video was published by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs« Main Directorate for the region.

According to the investigation, one of the detainees, who was 15 years old at the time of the incident, found an online offer for easy money in December last year. After responding, an unknown curator contacted him and proposed setting fire to cellular towers for payment. The teenager shared this information with his 16-year-old friend.

From January 13 to 16 of this year, following their curator«s instructions, they set fire to three cellular towers in Barnaul, recording their actions on video. In connection with this, a criminal case has been initiated under the article »Sabotage«.

It is noted that the detained teenagers previously had no issues with the law. Active work is underway to clarify all details of the incident and search for possible clients.

The Investigative Committee«s Directorate for Altai Krai added that the teenagers have been formally charged.
