According to preliminary data, two Gazelle Next minibuses, serving routes No. 3 and No. 104, were driving on the avenue one after the other. The cause of the accident is not yet clear.
Medical assistance was required for six passengers of the bus that was driving behind. Among the injured are two minors aged 8 and 13. According to the State Traffic Inspectorate (GAI), their injuries are not life-threatening.
Nevertheless, the Investigative Committee of Russia (SKR) for the Irkutsk Region is already conducting its own investigation under the article on providing services that do not meet safety requirements. The prosecutor«s office has also joined the case.
