Two killed in fire at private house in the Urals

The fire occurred in the evening on Gogol Street in Kamensk-Uralsky. The blaze in the private residential house was recorded at approximately 9:00 p.m.
The Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) for Sverdlovsk Region reported that the fire area was 80 square meters, and the roof was completely burned out. Four pieces of equipment and 15 personnel were involved in extinguishing the fire. Open burning was eliminated by 10:16 p.m., and the dismantling of structures and dousing were completed at midnight.
After the fire was extinguished, the bodies of two people — a man and a woman born around 1980 — were found under the rubble.
Police and Investigative Committee employees worked at the scene. The bodies have been sent for forensic examination. The investigation will determine the exact cause of death: whether it was directly due to the fire or if the death has criminal roots.
