Two killed after car skids into oncoming SUV on snowy road

One car sustained minimal damage while the other was severely crushed.
Late on the evening of January 28, a fatal traffic accident occurred in Perm Krai: a foreign-made car skidded into the oncoming lane on a snow-covered highway and crashed into an SUV. Two people were killed in the crash.
The foreign-made vehicle was almost completely destroyed in the collision.
The regional Traffic Police Department (GAI) reported the accident happened on the «Bolgary — Yugo-Kamsky — Krylov» highway. A 45-year-old driver of a Kia Ceed was traveling from the settlement of Yugo-Kamsky towards the city of Perm. At the sixth kilometer of the road, he failed to account for the road being snow-covered: the car skidded and was thrown into the oncoming lane. There, it collided with a UAZ Patriot driven by a 38-year-old man. The driver and a passenger of the Kia Ceed died in the accident.
In November, a fatal accident involving a minibus occurred on a highway near Kungur, which drivers have called the «death road». In that crash, seven people were killed and 12 were injured. Two weeks ago, it became known that the accident had claimed the life of another victim — the minibus driver died in the hospital.
