Two deadly fires occurred in the Orenburg region on the first day of the last month of winter. According to the press service of the regional Emergencies Ministry (EMERCOM), one fire was recorded in Novotroitsk, and the second in Sol-Iletsk Municipal District.

A fire in an apartment building in Novotroitsk led to one fatality.

In Novotroitsk, an apartment on the third floor of a five-story building on Komarova Street burned. A unit of the gas and smoke protection service rescued 6 people, but there was a casualty — a 56-year-old man died. The total area of the fire was 10 square meters. The presumed cause of the tragedy is carelessness while smoking.

A house fire in Sol-Iletsk district claimed the life of a 65-year-old man.

In the village of Pokrovka, Sol-Iletsk Municipal District, a residential house burned down. The total area of the fire was 50 square meters. Here, the cause is still being determined, but there is also a casualty — a 65-year-old man.

A minibus fire in Orsk was the second such incident within a week.
