Truck Runs Red Light and Hits Pedestrian in Yekaterinburg
The traffic accident occurred in Yekaterinburg on Mashinostroiteley Street in the Uralmash district around 1:00 p.m. The incident was recorded by a surveillance camera.

The video shows how a truck tried to run a red light. Most pedestrians at the crossing noticed the approaching danger and stayed on the sidewalk. However, one man, without looking in the direction of traffic, stepped directly into the path of the truck. According to preliminary information, he might have been distracted by a mobile phone.
The truck driver at the last moment tried to swerve and brake emergency, but the collision could not be avoided. The pedestrian received a strong impact and was thrown onto the roadway. Information about the victim«s condition is currently not specified.
