Truck Catches Fire on Bridge in Yaroslavl
On the morning of January 30, a fire broke out in a cargo truck on the Jubilee Bridge in Yaroslavl. Information about the incident was shared by social media users.
As reported by the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS) for the Yaroslavl Region, the alert was received at 07:40. «At 07:40 on January 30, a report was received about a MAZ truck catching fire at the address: Yaroslavl, M-8 highway, near the Jubilee Bridge. The fire was extinguished at 08:58,» the department specified.
Two firefighting units and nine rescuers were dispatched to tackle the blaze. According to video from the scene, the road was heavily smoke-logged, and the truck was fully engulfed in flames.
As a result of the incident, the truck«s cargo compartment and its load burned. According to preliminary information, there were no fatalities or casualties.
