According to eyewitness accounts published in the group «Accidents and Emergencies | St. Petersburg», a semi-trailer truck and a lighter truck were involved in the accident. The semi-trailer sustained serious damage, folding in half, and its trailer completely blocked the roadway.

The publication 47News, citing the Federal State Institution «Uprdor Severo-Zapad» (North-West Highway Administration), reports that the truck crashed into a barrier fence. Medical assistance was not required for those involved. To restore traffic on the section, a reversible flow has been organized.

The service «Yandex.Traffic» recorded the formation of traffic jams in both directions. From the Gatchina side, the traffic jam stretched for 4 kilometers, starting at Poddubye, and in the opposite direction — for 1.5 kilometers.
