Trolleybus Crash with Car in Chita Injures Two Children

On the afternoon of January 28, a traffic accident involving a trolleybus and a Toyota Allion occurred in Chita, resulting in injuries to two children — passengers of the car. This was reported on January 29 in the Telegram channel of the State Traffic Inspectorate of Zabaykalsky Krai.

According to preliminary information, the accident occurred on Kirov Street. The trolleybus driver failed to yield the right of way to the Toyota Allion, and the car crashed into the trolleybus. Two child passengers in the Toyota were injured — a 16-year-old girl and a 5-year-old girl. Both were wearing seat belts, and the younger one was in a child car seat. They were taken to the regional children«s hospital.

The press service of the regional Ministry of Health clarified that the girls are in satisfactory condition.

Update: At 09:48, the Ministry of Health reported that only the 16-year-old girl remained in the hospital, and she is receiving all necessary medical care.

Police officers are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
