Trams stuck in traffic on Moscow's Warsaw Highway after wire breaks

In southern Moscow, several trams are stuck in a traffic jam on Warsaw Highway. An MSK1.RU reader reported that several tram cars have accumulated near Nagatinskaya metro station due to a broken overhead wire.

Footage shows emergency service workers at the scene. Two of them are standing on a special vehicle equipped with a tower, which workers use to climb up. Near one tram, an emergency stop sign is placed next to a downed wire. The tram itself is empty, as passengers have been evacuated.
MSK1.RU confirmed the tram delays with the press service of the Moscow Metro. Currently, according to maps, the transport is not moving. The icons for several trams at the stop have been lit and unchanged for a considerable time.
«On Warsaw Highway and Nagatinskaya Street, trams No. 3, 16, 47, and 49 are delayed due to technical reasons. Routes have been temporarily changed,» the Moscow Metro press service reported.
