Trains passing through Voronezh Oblast delayed due to derailed cars: full list

Late on the evening of January 21, on the Zhdanka–Tovarkovo section in Tula Oblast, seven empty freight cars derailed. The incident occurred at 21:54, the cause is not yet known. During restoration work, seven long-distance passenger trains were delayed, five of which pass through Voronezh Oblast:

• No. 25 Moscow — Voronezh;
• No. 26 Voronezh — Moscow;
• No. 33 Moscow — Vladikavkaz;
• No. 49 Saint Petersburg — Kislovodsk;
• No. 62 Nalchik — Moscow.

Trains No. 57 Moscow — Belgorod and No. 58 Belgorod — Moscow were also delayed. As reported by the Moscow Railway, the deviation from schedule ranged from 2.5 to 4 hours. Meals were organized for passengers of trains No. 58 Belgorod — Moscow and No. 62 Nalchik — Moscow.

At 05:20 on January 22, on the Tula section where the incident occurred, railway workers opened traffic on one track. At 07:51, it became known that the second track was also opened, and trains are operating normally. Russian Railways (RZD) promises to do everything possible to return trains to the normal schedule faster. On the night of January 6, in Voronezh Oblast, passenger trains were stopped because debris from a downed drone fell on the railway tracks. At that time, more than 10 trains were delayed.
