The DA-40 aircraft crashed in Orsk on February 2 during a training flight conducted by cadets from the St. Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation.
City head Artyom Vorobyov announced the tragedy on his Telegram channel: «Today, during training flights carried out by cadets of the St. Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation, a DA-40 aircraft crashed. On board were an instructor and two cadets. Unfortunately, they died.»
In the area of the Dzhanatalap settlement, where the aviation accident occurred around 1 p.m. local time, rescuers, medics, law enforcement officers, and administration representatives are currently working.
According to TASS, the aircraft belonged to the St. Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation. The university, as reported by Fontanka, does not yet have details: «We are not yet aware of the details, we are finding out.»
