Train from Sochi Hits Man on Tracks Near Tuapse

A fatal incident occurred on the Tuapse–Greek railway section. The Adler–Simferopol train hit an 18-year-old young man who was on the tracks. He died at the scene from his injuries.

According to preliminary information from law enforcement, the victim was wearing headphones and likely did not hear the approaching train. — «The driver sounded auditory signals and applied emergency braking, but it was not possible to avoid the collision,» the press service of the Sochi Linear Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for Transport reported.

Currently, investigators and an operational group are working at the scene. The identity of the deceased and all details of the incident are being clarified as part of a pre-investigation check.
