Trading pavilions catch fire in Omsk — video
Emergency services personnel were on site battling the flames at the commercial pavilions.
Today, January 31, a fire occurred on Zhukovsky Street in Omsk. Trading pavilions caught fire there. Footage of the incident appeared on the Telegram channel «Incident Omsk». As reported by the regional EMERCOM, the report of the fire came in at 05:13. Six units were affected.
The fire erupted in the early morning, causing damage to several retail units under a shared roof.
«Six trading pavilions under a common roof were burning. The fire covering 168 square meters was extinguished by 28 EMERCOM employees using 7 units of equipment. Open flames were put out at 05:51,» the department noted.
The cause of the fire is still unknown. It will have to be determined by EMERCOM investigators.
Previously, NGS55.RU reported on a fire that occurred at the Park shopping center. The flames broke out in an electrical room on the second floor of the complex. The fire area was 20 square meters. It was quickly extinguished — open fire was put out 13 minutes after the call to emergency services.
