Town in Yugra loses power after accident during deep freeze

Emergency crews work to restore power and prevent system freezes in the Yugra region during a cold snap.
In Yugra, the town of Zapadny, located in Nyagan, was left without electricity due to an accident. This was reported by the city head Ivan Yamashev in his Telegram channel.
A report to the Unified Duty and Dispatch Service came in the morning from residents of this area. The Nyagan branch of «YURESK» began emergency measures. Repair teams from the regional operator diagnosed damaged sections of the grid and prepared equipment for switching substations.
As a result of the work carried out, power supply was restored in most of the town. Komsomolskaya Street was connected to a diesel power station. «RES-Zapad» conducted restoration work on the regional networks.
«In order to fully restore the power supply system, a short-term power outage is currently being conducted in this microdistrict,» Yamashev reported.
At the request of specialists from resource supply and utility organizations in Nyagan, house inspections are being conducted to prevent freezing of the heating and water supply systems.
Earlier we reported that in Surgut a heating main burst occurred. Hot water spilled onto the road. But residents of the microdistrict will not be left without heating.
