A three-year-old girl injured in a serious car accident near Shatsk required evacuation by air ambulance. This was reported to YA62.RU by the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Ryazan Region.

Doctors at the Shatsk interdistrict hospital held a consultation with federal specialists and agreed on the urgent transportation of the toddler to Ryazan.

«The girl was evacuated because she needed the help of specialists at the regional center. She is now undergoing planned specialized treatment at the regional children»s clinical hospital, her condition is stably serious, and there is no threat to life,« the press service of the Ryazan Ministry of Health told us.

The girl was delivered to the Ryazan regional children«s hospital within three hours of the accident.

The horrific accident occurred on the afternoon of 25 January at the 345th kilometer of the M-5 «Ural» highway. Preliminary reports indicate that a Toyota driven by a 26-year-old man and a Lada Kalina driven by a 51-year-old woman collided. A 20-year-old female passenger in the foreign car died at the scene.

Medical assistance was required for the drivers of both cars, as well as passengers in the Lada aged 3, 12, and 22. The circumstances of the accident are being established, and an investigation is underway.
